Get urgent medical attention?
If you are suffering from any or all of the symptoms below then call a 999 emergency ambulance:
- Shortness of breath
- chest pain
- left arm pain
- sweaty/clammy skin.
Urgent GP Appointments
Urgent appointments are 5 minutes long and can be booked at 8.00am and 2.00pm. You may require an urgent appointment for a new problem which has developed in the last 24/48hours, such as eye/ear infection, tonsillitis, abdominal pain. An urgent appointment is not to be used for high blood pressure, repeat medication, sick notes or ongoing medical conditions.
If you are uncertain whether you need an appointment then GPs are available to give you advice over the telephone after morning surgery generally around 11.45-12.15, or contact NHS Direct on 0845 4647, they are available to give advice in and out side of surgery hours.
